FAQ
How Can I sign up for a course?
There are two ways to sign up for a course. If you choose to sign up as an individual and pay yourself, click on the “Inquire As Individual” button and complete the form. Once your identity is verified we will reach out to schedule your training. If a Training Coordinator/Administrator is signing you up, they will click on the “Inquire For A Department” button and will be able to inquire for multiple individuals. Once the department is verified we will reach out to schedule your training.
Does BlueLine offer online courses?
No, we believe that the best way to learn defensive training techniques is in-person and HANDS ON
Why should i train in defensive tactics?
Statistics show that law enforcement officers are far more likely to engage in a hands-on use of force than to discharge their firearm. It’s inevitable that, at some point in their career, an officer will need to physically manage a resisting subject.
Our training programs are designed to equip you with the skills, confidence, and control to handle those situations safely and effectively.
What should i bring to class?
Dress comfortably, bring water, your ID, socks and wrestling shoes if you have them
Why should i choose blueLine tactics?
We are the first program of its kind in Ohio!
When you enroll in one of our courses, you’ll also gain free access to our monthly open mats, providing ongoing opportunities to refine your skills.
Because we operate out of our own dedicated training facility and mat space, agencies no longer need to worry about securing a location to host training sessions,we’ve got everything covered.
Is training safe?
We take every precaution to ensure that all attendees complete training safely and without injury.
However, due to the physical nature of hands-on defensive tactics, it is impossible to guarantee that injuries will not occur.
For the safety of all participants, no firearms, tasers, knives, or any other weapons are permitted in the training area at any time.
Can I start at tier 2 or tier 3?
All students are required to begin at Tier 1, regardless of prior experience or background. This approach allows our instructors to evaluate each officer’s current skill level and make any necessary corrections before progressing.
Each subsequent tier is progressively more advanced, ensuring a structured and consistent path for skill development
What is your refund policy?
We do not offer refunds. However, if you have paid for a course and are unable to attend, we will provide credit toward a future course
